My hunt with ITB at there Indian Hills camp was good but could have been a little better,The reason, It took me Two almost 3 days to figure out how the Deer were running by the time I figured it out the weather turned for the worse upper 70s low 80s and killed most movement the last 3 days of the hunt.If my guide would have sat in my stand prior to myself sitting in it lets say a a couple of weeks prior to my arrival I would have killed a shooter my first couple of days, the deer were using a gully to get in and out of my area it should have been easy for Jim Paine to have figured that out,but like he told me know one was in the stand since early Oct so how would he have known! It was a case of poor stand placement I should have trusted my first instinct and moved sooner but who knows better then the guide?I wanted to give that stand a couple of days, the deer are definitely there I saw at least 6 big shooters. But i paid for a fully guided hunt and not Semi guided the stand was 50 to 60 yards from where it should have been placed, being on limited time I think its the guides job to figure the best possible stand placement and should have been prior to my arrival and that wasn't the case.
None to date. If you are the outfitter please email us.
The first 3 days windy cool temps last 3 days 70s to 80s
