First and foremost it was absolutely a pleasure working with outfitter Robert Hennefer. Little Wood River Outfitters. (208-309-2126) He and His crew were all great to be with and if honesty is something that is a top priority for you then this is the outfitter for you.Not to mention they know where the elk hang out with 30 plus years of hunting and guiding experience in their area. I'm speaking from experience of knowing what it is like to book with an outfitter that I will just say was not the shiniest or straight up apple in the barrow.

I'm not going to mention there name but you can go back to 2009 Idaho and look for the poor rating on an Idaho elk hunt.

My guide steve knew the country very well and where the elk were. With a lot of patience and tonicity and 1.5 hours of work in and out on this bull, We and I mean Steve and I because you and your guide are a team put everything together and I was blessed with this nice 6-point bull. So with out saying I highly recommend Little Wood Outfitters.

One other thing my wife and I booked the pack in fishing trip before my hunt so I could look over the area and meet Robert. I highly recommend doing this if you would love to see some of the most beautiful country you will ever see and some assume fly-fishing in the Little Wood River. We could not make it to the high lakes because of snow but Robert tells me there is some great fishing there. This is a great for the whole family or just your fishing buddies. Robert has the camp set up for a great family environment and some family friendly horses and staff, so look into this you won't be disappointed.
