I must point out that Stan gave me a greatly reduced price for this hunt since he had never hunted the area before. He was very honest about the fact that he did not know what to expect on this particular Grizzly area and it would be as much a scouting mission as it was a guided hunt. As it turned out, the hunt was very difficult and we only saw a couple of bears. Two we think were boars and one group of sow and cubs. I got close to the largest but he saw us before I could shoot.

Stan was excellent. He was an excellent pilot and worked extremely hard for me during this hunt. I don't believe he takes hunters here any more. Again, I never was upset at Stan, he was upfront about the risks on this hunt and I accepted those risks. It was still a great time and I never regretted those two weeks on the Johnson River.
