I had a really good time hunting with these guys and would return to do it again. The weather was really hot and windy the week I was there, which made hunting hard. I know I would have seen a lot more animals if it would have just cooled off. I saw tracks and moose sign everywhere, but the heat I think was slowing the rut or moving it to the night. My guide worked his but off finding me a moose. He had seen my bull the night before we got him. He said he had just seen a 45" bull on his way to pick me up. We went back to the same spot in the morning and called at first light. The bull was right right where he said thrashing the brush with a cow with him now. We called and moved in on him and I hit him at 40 yards. The bull was 45.5 inches; good call by the guide. The day I shot my moose it got up to 88 degrees; crazy for the end of September in the northern rockies. I took my Dad with me on this hunt too. He is 68 and dosen't get around as good as he once did. We felt the guides and outfitter tried hard to accomidate him and he had a good time even though he didn't get one.
None to date. If you are the outfitter please email us.
It was Hot and Windy the whole week. This is the worst weather you could wish for. It was in the upper 80's while I was there. I know everyone would have seen a lot more game it the weather would have broke.
