well this was my 4th trip to texas to try to get an axis,i had really did alot of homework trying to find just the right outfitter to help me in my quest.we logged alot of miles between tennessee/north carolina to arrive at bhp.we did things a little differently this trip and hit it in july under the dark moon. we had 110 plus temps each day of the four day hunt.The animals were plentiful and plenty weary!!i saw some big mature animals,but the axis never showed himself.I was very fortunate on my third day to arrow this huge manchurian sika 3x4 at 30 yards.i also was fortunate to take a hog and a beautiful barbadoe ram.my buddy mike,took a nice aoudad.this is a tough hunt but its one of the most enjoyable hunts of my life.now i will talk about what truely makes this place,,,,jim !!he is someone that when you meet him will see,he is honest and one of the hardest working men for his hunters you have ever met!he went above and beyond,helping recover game,and taking care of your critters!he has a great sense of humor also,he even endurred getting searched by all the cops in camp that week,myself and mike and jonathan tapp(fbi austin),seriously,i wish we could have stayed another week.Good Lord willing well be back some day!Thank you jim, God Bless you for making our dreams come true!

I had a blast hunting with you Boys--I never dreamed that I could have sooo much fun with all those Cops around and not have to go to jail in the end.....I wish I would have though of this years ago!
