I know this is a bowhunting site, but have to give credit to Stacey Ward and Hadley Creek for providing an excellent second season gun hunt in Pike County. This hunt was a DIY on one of Hadley Creeks properties and the quantity/quality of deer was exceptional. I was meet by Stacey and his guide Jerrod the afternoon prior to the hunt and they provided a map of the property with locations for the numerous stands on the property, along with food plot locations and travel patterns, the way I wanted to hunt the property was totally left up to me. The stand sites were positioned according to wind/travel patterns and provided deer activity at every stand. I saw 4 shooters in 3.5 days and tagged a nice 130+ class 10pt and doe, with the biggest buck close to 160 range, that did not present a shot opportunity. I know Hadley Creek gets slammed on here pretty often, which made me alittle uneasy after already booking with them. But, I followed through with my decision and can say it was worth the price of admission.
