I had the same problem with trying to get my deposit back. I registered in December 2008 and tried to cancel in Febuary 2009. I called and called and called. I even called 3 of the guides I had from the previous fall without any luck. The good thing is I used a credit card and was able to get my money back less the $250 cancellation fee. I was able to show my CC company that I tried to adhere to Hadley's policy but they were not fulfilling their part. See you have to cancel before May 15 or you either have to move your hunt to another year or forfeit your money. My CC company got me $1250 back in May 2009. The thing is if you shoot an illegal buck (1 scoring below 140 inches) they charge you $1000 IMMEDIATELY. Of the 20 guys in camp last November only 8 guys took a shot at a buck, only 6 of them recovered their buck and only ONE buck scored over 140 inches. Also, one guy from Georgia shot a button buck, which by Ill law is considered an antlerless deer but Hadley tried to make him pay $1000 because the buck scored below 140 inches. I saw the button buck myself and nothing was going through the scalp. He refused to pay so they made him leave a day early without the meat! Stay away from this place!
