Nine Mile Guest Ranch exceeded my expectations in every way. We called in bulls in the morning and sat on water holes in the evening. I had several shot opportunities and saw elk all but one outing. The other two hunters also had multiple shot opportunities. The outfitter and guide were very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and were excellent callers. The cabin we stayed in was clean and very comfortable. The food was not only plentiful, but prepared with a lot thought for variety and quality. This was not a hard hunt and we were between 7,000 and 8,000 feet, so altitude was not much of a factor.

Full moon may have had an effect on the elk behavior, but not that we noticed very much. Came to water a little later early in the hunt. Had a few storms come through, but not while we were hunting so not an issue.
