I hunted at Island Pond camp. The food was excellent, and the lodge was very comfy. the people are very nice and make you feel at home. The only drawback of the whole hunt was caribou stags were few and far between. I passed up 2 stags the first day (Dean said they were average to below average stags), then hunted hard the rest of the week, with no stags seen until the second to the last day, when i blew the shot on a average size stag. we did see 8-10 does every day, along with plenty of moose. if i were to go again, it would difinetley be in october during the caribou rut.
