Did a pre rut bow hunt. I had a great time and saw two of the biggest bucks in the wild I have ever seen. I was really suprised to see the amount of daytime buck activity I did due to the fact the rut isn't until mid november. They have a ton of land and its is all prime. Ask the to see some of their giant rubs. Even though I didn't kill it wasn't due to lack of effort. Those guys spent every moment we were on stand glassing fields and scouting. Unlike most places I have been they really want you to kill.
Nate it sure was great having you in camp.Thank you for your comments about us.We will always do our best to get our guest as close as possiable to a trophy buck but as you know deer will be deer and they will always catch us off guard as you told me that is what happened to you.If I can remember correctly one of the booners you saw sliped in from your right side and by the time you saw him and ranged him he was at 38 yards.Some would have took the shot and some would not.I respect a person that knows his or her limits and comfort level.The buck you passed made it through the season and will be bigger next year for your Nov hunt.See you then.
