Privacy and Registration Policy
The Bowsite uses registration tools to allow you, our visitor, to personalize content on The Bowsite and utilize many of our interactive features. It also allows us to ensure accountability, and a proper code of conduct is being followed.
At no time have we, or will we, provide your personal registration information (not limited to name, e-mail address, phone or any other information submitted by you) to any 3rd party for any reason except the following:
- State and National Pro-hunting organizations in the event of an alert
- Non-Profit Bowhunting Organizations seeking to communicate with potential members in their area
- Potential Sabotage or Misrepresentation from the use of our interactive services which could lead to a claim of libel. Bowsite.com reserves the right to provide that information at our sole discretion.
- For marketing purposes when the visitor has "opted in" to receive those communications.
In all cases, the 3rd party must agree to our conditions prior to us releasing this information. No marketing or commercial use of your information is sold or provided to any individuals or companies by Bowsite.com.
Use of all Interactive Features
Your use of any of our interactive features explicitly require your agreement with our rules and this privacy policy. A registration check box constitutes your agreement with these conditions and is required to complete the registration process. You are solely responsible for your content and hold Bowsite.com or any other affiliate of the PLNet LLC company harmless for any actions or disputes that may arise from any contributions made anywhere on this, or any other website owned by the PLNet company. At our discretion, we may cooperate fully with any party seeking to identify individuals (and thier related content) whom may have committed slander, libel or any other potentially damaging, illegal, or prohibited use of our forums, private message system, outfitter reports, or any other visitor supplied content hosted by Bowsite.com or any of our affilliate websites. As stated in our registration agreement, all submissions made to this website become the property of Bowsite.com including our private message system which implies no expectation of privacy.
Use of our services by Children
The PLNet company complies with all privacy laws including the 1998 Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. Our archery site for kids (archery4kids.net) provides several interactive features that invite, but do not require registration. In these cases we ask that children under 13 years of age DO NOT register and simply enjoy these features as unregistered guests.
All registration, be it through the Bowsite, Stickbow, or Archery4kids.net, utilize the same registration database. The information we require for registration is: First and Last Name, Net Handle, E-Mail Address, and State of residence. We also capture the TCP/IP address of the visitor at the time of registration to help our monitoring and tracking activities. If a child chooses to register, the same privacy policy stated above is applicable.
