Cowpeas | |||||
Cowpeas are a warm season annual that grows on vines and prefers structure for growth. It is extremely attractive to deer and is often overgrazed long before establishment. Fencing or repellants are required for fields under 3 acres in areas with deer densities of 30 deer sq/mi or less. Cowpeas will tolerate poorer soils of lower PH, fertility and drainage. |
