Summary - 2024 Food Plot Seed Review and Ranking
2023 was my fourth year since buying my Ohio property. After 5 years of hunting I could not be more pleased with this purchase.
My plots were good again this year. I tweaked my design a bit, going with a lot more beans and less corn. I also swapped out my beans and brassicas in my kill plot. My Egyptian Wheat and other screening products produced a terrific, 20 yard barrier where I needed it. My perennials all did well, so did most of my annuals. The only fail was the small amount of unfenced corn.
Deer hunting was fantastic. I had several mature bucks ranging from 135-175 again this year. About half my shooters came back larger. Surrounding pressure was high, but most of my shooters survived. Only one mature deer was killed after being wounded by my neighbor.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this season an 8. I can't wait to start getting my spring plots in and see what my 2024 buck crop looks like.
