my morning location
AM Hunt - I hunted the marsh for the first time this
morning. The treestand I was hunting from was hung extremely high but necessary
since the tree is so exposed in the middle of the marsh. The stand I used
was a Buckfinder Dominator from Buckfinder Treestands, this allowed me to
hang a stand on a limb that both leaned forward and slanted to the right.
A lone doe came out of the bean fields and entered the woods.
This was quite early - around 6:00 AM. At 7:30 a group of 3 doe and 1 button
came by my stand and bedded underneath me. I waited for them to settle down
and took some pics and videos of the button.
They stayed bedded until a wind shift brought my scent to them
and they busted out. At 10:00 AM another doe was seen heading into the brush.
No bucks were seen this morning.
PM Hunt - I hunted a new property tonight and saw a spike
and doe. No bucks but the sign here looks promising.
Despite the slow action everyone in camp is in good spirits
and we're all having a good time. We only have one day left so hopefully something
will happen tomorrow.
