Hey guys. While checking my trail camera I decided to film a short segment on running trail cameras on mineral sites. This info is purely my opinion and I'm sure not everyone agrees! But that's OK! I hope you enjoy

Excellent video and point(s). I try to pound this into some of my friends/relatives heads. But they have to check their cameras weekly. I have one buddy that insists on checking them every other day. I'm glad all these guys hunt their own land, separate from me;)

Good stuff! What minerals do you put out?

Thanks guys. I usually just do granualr trace mineral or a trace mineral block. Trophy rocks are also really good. Especially if you elevate it on a big rock or stump. Seems to last longer.

I agree that a mineral site is a great inventory tool and most people check their cameras more than necessary. Using a high quality mineral that actually provides benefits to the deer will generate more pictures and actually help your deer herd rather than just using salt. You will also have better luck putting it on the ground.
