Fly fishing Line?

Is it okay to use fly fishing line for string for bowfishing? I use a hand-warp reel. Thanks
I cannot find any normal bowfishing line around here and i'm going out tomorrow.
I'm no expert on bowfishing, but since flyline is made so that you cast the line instead of the lure, it seems it (flyline) would be pretty heavy for bowfishing.
OTOH, if it works ...
Fly line will not work most break at about twenty four pounds your arrow if it gets caught will probably break the line. Try local big box store like Wal*Mart or Dicks' and purchase braided fishing line in eighty pound test or heavier if they have it. If you have an archery shop near by serving string works well also.
Stay well!!

Walmart usually has Dacron line - I don't think they necessarily have it in the fishing section, but it's used for a number of other things. Fly line is not a good choice - expensive, and fairly low breaking strenght unless you're getting into the saltwater lines. Flyline backing is usually only about 20-30lb. Avoid mono - get dacron or a heavy braided line.
