I found Whitetail Heaven Outfitters on Facebook after someone on a hunting Facebook page shared a live giveaway they were doing. I would watch every live giveaway they would do and like and share it in hopes that I would run into some luck and win something. The beginning of January 2019 they were doing another giveaway and giving out 3 hunts strictly to veterans. You would always see people comment things like "this is a scam", "only their friends win", "their name picker is rigged".. so not knowing anything about them you tend to believe that.. but then my name was selected for a 7 day 8 night Tri-state hunt and I screamed like a girl running through the house. Instantly people began messaging me, "Don't get your hopes up, it's a scam to get more publicity", "it's a free hunt they will treat you like crap and treat people who paid and returning clients better", "Do some research, they have bad reviews", and many more. 2 days later my hunt was booked for Nov 21-29 2019 to gun hunt Kentucky for 3 days and bow hunt Ohio for 4. Upon arriving at their North Camp in Aberdeen, Ohio I was a bit a nervous due to the messages I had received. Everything was amazing, they immediately welcomed me to the lodge and treated me like family, the food was incredible, and the deer numbers were insane! I seen more deer in 2 days than I seen my entire season home in Wisconsin. My guide Mark Santos knew the properties like the back of his hand, and on my second day I shot a beautiful 9 point buck that is my biggest to date. The following day, the owner Tevis McCauley showed up and hung out at the lodge for the day. He is allowing me to keep my Ohio bow hunt for next season, as I would love the opportunity to see these incredible people again. These guys bend over backwards to make your trip with them memorable. I made new friends on this trip, both staff and guests, that I continue to talk to on Facebook. And now during their live giveaways Tevis really enjoys telling everyone about my experience with them. I am looking forward to going to WHO next year for my Ohio bow hunt. I would highly recommend everyone to follow them on Facebook, and participate in their giveaways. You never know what can happen.
