There were 9 people in camp and 7 people got their bull so good success on getting bulls. One was probably a 300 inch 6x6, a couple other 6x6 and 5x5's that were decent and the others were rag horns. Personally I only had an opportunity on a 5x4 but didn't want to put an expensive tag on an immature bull less than half way thru my hunt. If you are wanting to see a lot of elk with a good chance on getting a bull without caring about the size, and not having to work very hard to get one, I would recommend this place. The typical hunting day was to sit for an 1 1/2 or 2 hours in the morning and another 1 1/2 or 2 hours in the evening. The rest of the time you are sitting at camp having lunch, napping, or playing cards with the guides. It would really be a good hunt for older people who aren't in the best shape, a father/son couple, etc. So if you are looking for longer days in the mountains where you hike a couple miles, this isn't the hunt for you. The food was excellent all week and the chef was fun to talk with. I enjoyed spending time and sharing stories with Pete, my guide. The cabin accommodation were good.
None to date. If you are the outfitter please email us.
We had high winds and a few inches of snow the first day but the rest of the week the temps were good.
