I took this trip with my dad, we hunted Elk, Deer, and, Bear. 100% guarantee at a raghorn. I told the outfitter we couldn't get there until the 8th, he called me again the day of the 7th to find out where we were, I had to remind him again we couldn't get there until the 8th. Minor mistake I guess. Doesn't stop there.... Albert was our guide (fantastic guy, vince was lucky to have him), he took us hunting we did an evening hunt, I stopped the guide as we approched 3 bucks as he didn't see them, we were busted by them. Next morning we went out we had bugles screaming at us, the guide didn't hear them, so we went in the direction of the bulges to not hearing them again. Next day was the same, bugles but the guide couldn't hear them, day after day it was the same thing. This started to bother me after Vince took his personal client in deep country so we never saw him again. On the 4th day I heard cow chirps again the guide couldn't hear them, I then saw the cows, had to point them out to the guide. 5th day we had 8 bulls screaming at us again the guide couldn't hear them, but none of them would break the treeline. The last night adain heard bugles the guide couldn't hear them. We then had a spike come in I took a shot, we both were unsure of the shot as we were in a blind for 1. We went out to look for blood, nothing, it got dark the guide got lost, I had to guide my guide back. I sent an email to the outfitter to express my discouragment and to let him know his guide had hearing and eye problems, NO RESPONSE, I then went to the Michigan chapter (where I bought the hunt), expressed my concerns and now anger I was being ignored. Now that Michigan was involved he finally respond with anger basically told me to piss off. Vince's outfit is terrible, worst outfitter I've ever had, and I go with 2 - 3 a year. To top this all off, Albert died from some medication he took. Albert was a incredible guy, father of 2, husband, brother, uncle, friend. I know not hearing/seeing the elk was a surprise to him as I truly believe it started with my hunt. I'm upset we didn't get a chance at Vince's 100% guarantee at a rag horn, but I'm more upset with his outrage email he sent. There are several other outfitters to choose from, please look elsewhere. Look for google reviews or facebook, he has those turned off for a reason.
