I bowhunted both Kentucky and Ohio for a total of seven days. The first 3 days were in Kentucky and my guide was Jeffery Davis. I hunted from dark to dark on 2 farms and I saw 1 shooter on the first farm but no shot. This deer was killed on the first day of gun season and measured 168”. The second farm I saw 2 shooters but no shots. Moved to Ohio for 4 days of bowhunting when Gun season started in Kentucky. Hunted 4 days from dark to dark and saw more bucks but shooters were moving just before light and just after dark. Deer camera proved this out as I checked the camera on corn pile coming and going. Simon Willett was my Ohio guide. Both of my guides knew the Properties, stands, and active shooter deer that I hunted. I plan to be back next year and look forward to hunting their property again. I also want to mention Tara Ginn and Crystal May for their delicious table fare each day starting at 0300 and finishing after all hunters returned. I returned from my Ohio hunts after 2000 so the food service ran well past that time. Todd Duff the hunt master ran an excellent camp coordinating hunters and guides.
