Weather did not cooperate this year, although I passed on bull elk twice during the week, both within 50yds!

Monday was 85 degrees and sunny (passed a 5x5 at 35yds first morning).

Tuesday was 90 degrees and sunny (passed a small 5x5 at 45yds that evening)

Wednesday was 70 degrees and 35mph winds

Thursday was 45 degrees and raining sideways

Friday we got 8" of snow in the mountains!

Regardless of weather, we were on bulls and in hindsight, I shouldn't have passed on the first day what I would have shot the last day! This is the 6th year I have hunted with Guy and his operation runs smoothly. The food is incredible, the camaraderie at camp is awesome, the elk are plentiful and I look forward to it each and every year. This is my first time stay at the new lodge near Clyde Park and it is nicer than my house! Instant hot water, gigantic fireplace and my own room. I will recommend this operation/outfit to anyone looking for a fantastic elk hunt.
