Had a wonderful hunt with Yvonne and Phillip. I contacted Yvonne in the winter about taking my 9 year old son on a hunt. It is not easy today to get your children to fall in love with hunting, and I thought a bear hunt would be just the ticket. Yvonne was more than accommodating and we booked the hunt. My son was to be with me to experience the hunt. I brought my own double bull blind, as I hunt with a recurve and my son is not proficient at treestands yet, which worked out great!
We saw some bears despite difficult weather conditions, and finally on the 4th evening killed a one on the ground at less than 15 yards with my recurve, my son by my side. Needless to say he is hooked and can't wait to go back. When he turns 12 (legal hunting age in Quebec), I will bring him back for his first bowhunt.
