I gave my son a Black Bear hunt for his 16th birthday. I also invited my Dad along for the trip as he had never been out of Pennsylvania on a hunting experience. We had an EXCELLENT experience on this hunt. I had been on 2 previous Canadian Black Bear hunts myself and this hunt rated the best of all of them. Yvonne and Phillepe did everything within their power to put us on active baits. All the baits we hunted were hit hard and we all sat on baits that had not been hunted before. The trail camera videos we saw when Yvonne pulled cards everyday was incredible. The meals Ginette made for us were delicious and we did not go hungry at all. The lodging was clean and comfortable. My son killed a bear on the second night. My Dad and I both killed bear on the last evening of the hunt. My son and I used compound bows and my Dad use a crossbow.

The first two nights were perfect. The last three nights were very breezy and affected the bear sightings in my opinion on Wednesday and Thursday night. I did not need a bug net the last 3 nights and when the bugs aren't there, the bears usually aren't either.
