JP is a down to earth hard working guide who knows the units and the animals. I briefly hunted with his son Michael who is a great spotter and also very friendly. While I didn't get an animal, I had a good opportunity but my bull whirled just as I shot, having caught my scent.
I think I would have scored had I been able to hunt the full time, but we lost 3 days due to an early snow storm. My rating therefore might have gone to excellent but we simply didn't get the full time in due to no fault of JP. Also, I was recovering from a twisted knee and JP allowed me some additional days to recuperate before we started and that was much appreciated. Hope to hunt with Big Chino again and highly recommend their services.
