Ron and Jeannine Dare are two of the finest people you will ever meet. They run an absolutely top end camp smack in the middle of big bear country. This was the second year in a row that I hunted with Ron. I took my wife along in 2013 and she was successful on the first night in stand...she loved the hunt, more than I can describe. Ron ensured that each hunter was comfortable and had bears coming in to the bait. In 2012 I sat two nights on stand and saw 11 bears. In 2013 I saw fewer bears due to the late thaw, but the bears I saw were over 6 feet. On my fourth night in camp I killed a giant 7ft. P&Y animal. I can tell you most of Ron's clients are return hunters...that only happens when you treat people right, and provide a hunt of a lifetime. In 2012 my Dad and a friend of ours accompanied me to Bear Track. We all harvested animals by night number 2 with my Dad taking a monster 7ft. P&Y on the first night. Michelle Eichler was in camp with us and made the hunt that much more memorable. She returned in 2013 to harvest her 2nd bear with Ron, which should say something. Ron and Jeannine are absolutely wonderful people and great outfitters. You will not be sorry if you book with them.
Whew! Reviews like that can make a guy's head swell! Josh and his wife Kelly were fun people to have in camp, and long with the other couple from Green Bay, made the week a fun one to entertain and be a part of. Jeannine of coarse cheers for the sisterhood and the ladies connected early in the week to her satisfaction. While I'm not sure standing up and dancing to her IPod tunes is a typycle way to pass the time in a stand, it did work for Josh's lady on her second night. Husbands had to wait their turn, and were rewarded with great bears. We'd have the Mau family back in a heartbeat.
