This place is amazing! But if my original plans to hunt a no fence, free roaming wild boar ranch not fallen through I wouldn’t have booked a hunt with Matt and Cheryl at the Shiloh Ranch. Why? Their reputation is 5 star, and review after review top notch so…why? Well it was me. I have had a perception problem with low fenced or make that with any fenced operation. Fair chase?!....please, I wouldn’t bother with that type of outfit. Shooting fish in a barrel…Where is the challenge and the thrill of the chase? Right? Well I was Dead Wrong! Bowhunting at the Shiloh Bowhunting Ranch is no guarantee (over 400 hundred acres) that you will get to bring home some sausage (I did!) but you will have the time of your life trying to bag your trophy and true hunting experience. The setting is in some heavily wooded foothills with creeks zigzagging their way through the property. The stands sites are well thought out for the prevailing winds, many with two stands or blinds available to adjust to the wind as needed. Cheryl and Matt operate a clean and rustic camp that is nearly off of the grid! They are constantly working to insure you have a great time during your time with them. All details are thought about well in advance of your arrival, cabins are clean and ready, and all the stand sites are up and running to help you be successful on your hunt. This is a truly unique hunting experience for wild boars that is as thrilling as any hunt I have been on. If you have been on the fence about a fenced hunting ranch…give them a try.
