Out of my 23 seasons of having the privilege of being able to do an out of state hunt , my hunt @ Premier Outfitters was definitely 1 to remember. The accomodations were outstanding, all the comforts of home & delicious meals! Imagine clean towels & linens every day in a hunting camp not to mention a hot breakfast waiting on you when you break in the a.m. or if you prefer you can take a pack lunch with you in the stand (provided by premier)& stay on stand all day til ready for pick up. Also after a day in the woods be ready for a wonderful meal that evening & comradery around the firepit ! Sound like a vacation ? Take it from me , it doesn't get any more relaxing. Now for the hunt, my first thoughts after arriving & surveying the lay of the land were this place is too gorgeous for whitetails to inhabit , especially when you're used to the swamps in s.c. Pretty much the unwritten rule to see kentucky deer is stay in 1 place & watch em materialize out of no where. The fact that i didn't score on a deer had nothing to do with a lack of opportunities. I saw 11 shooter bucks while on stand & on 1 occasion had a mexican standoff with a giant @ less than 15 yds before i even made it to my stand. I think we all know who came out on top of that encounter. Any way, score 1 for that old bruiser, he just better be ready for round two next season. Mark Clifford & company will do everything in their power to make your hunt all that you expected & i can't wait to return.
