I had my shot on the third night and wounded a buck I did not retrieve. Mike had done his part but I made a poor hit. The rut had not kicked in yet but the big bucks were showing up at night on trail cameras. There was very active sign near all stands and the guys the next two weeks had great hunting but over all this was one of Mikes toughest weeks in all his years of Outfitting. Still the effort was there "big time" as Mike works his tail off getting you to the right places. The preparation before we got there was excellent and Mike has the safest tree stands I have ever used. Every stand has a linemans rope from top to bottom and most stands are hang-ons with climbing sticks. All in great order. The food and camp logistics are excellent. This is a classic deer hunting camp in Southeast Ohio and I would reccomend this as an ideal father, spouse, son/daughter outfitted hunt. PM me if you have additional questions. Charlie
Thank you Charlie for the kind words. Coming from an archery hunter who has a bunch of experience with many outfitted hunts we considered it a real compliment for you to recommend us to others. I always say bow hunting is a sport of inches. I was just as crushed as you were that we did not find your buck. But I do believe we will see him again on one of the field cameras. We hope to see you again real soon. GBTA! Mike Connett, "Wide Rack Outfitters"
A Little too warm some days.
