There are many components that add up to a great hunting experience.
Success - I harvested 7 trophy animals...a zebra stallion, a blue wildebeest bull, a 53 1/4" kudu, a 22 1/2" impala, a 16 7/8" blesbok, a 36 1/2" gemsbok bull, and a 38 7/8" gemsbok cow. I hunted with Garry most of the time but spent my first day with Deirdre when I got my zebra and my last day with Hennie when I got my gemsbok cow. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, excellent trackers, and busted their butt to make my hunt successful.
Accommodations - The lodge is fantastic. Much nicer and more comfortable than I expected.
Meals - Exceptional food! I didn't always know what I was eating but it all tasted great.
Logistics - From the moment Harry and Deirdre met us at the airport until our departing flight when they could go no farther, we never had to worry about anything except if it was an animal we wanted to harvest and then making a good shot and they won't let you harvest anything but quality animals.
Enjoyment - All the above things are secondary if you don't enjoy yourself, and what make the experience truely enjoyable is Harry, the Nel family, and the entire staff. Everything they do is to provide you with that unforgettable experience. I came as a client, became friends, and left feeling like I was leaving family. Two of my fellow hunters had hunted with African Arrow Safaris before and told me how great it was but it was even better than than told me it would be.
This was truely a great hunting experience and I look forward to the day I can return.
