My hunt was an early season whitetail velvet buck hunt in the bow only zone along the Red River in southern Manitoba. If I was a richer man, I would do this hunt every year. Rod really knew the area, had an unbelievable wealth of time-tested properties to hunt, and has a lot of stands in excellent locations. He didn't leave me wanting for anything, and it was only my fault that I did not harvest an animal. A better hunter than I would be quickly successful.
I was really impressed with the quality of bucks in this area. And I appreciated the family operation that Adrenaline Outfitters runs. I felt as if I was hunting with a friend, not just another client.
The bush along the Red River is a great place to hunt. I overwhelmingly recommend this hunt and can describe it with one word: Awesome.
It was great to have Brad up in camp with us. Look forward to having him up again soon. It would be great to get him on one of those super River bucks.

We had torrential rains this week and the fields and forests were flooded like lakes. This was unusual, but was not an impediment to the hunting. I did get off stand once when the seconds between lightning and thunder went from 8 to 7 to 5 to 3, and then to 2. In a metal stand on the prairie, I ran for cover as I did not want to get fried by lightning.
