Often times a kick to the left for a right handed archer means your arrow is too stiff in spine. To weaken the dynamic spine of those arrows try a heavier weight tip 145 of 150 grain points. You can also try longer 5575 gold tip shafts or shooting a 3555 at 28 inches. |

| I also have recently purchased a bear tigercat recure bow. The bow is 62" and is 52# at 28". The string that comes with this bow is completely adjusted to it's maximum length, and is 57" long, leaving a brace height of 9 1/4", along with some good vibration when I shoot it. It shoots pretty accurate, but I think my brace height is way off and is causing the vibration, am I right in thinking so? Helpm to a newby! P.S. What would be a good arrow for such a bow, I'm using Gold tip xt hunters now with 125 field tips. Thanks for the help! gunner - mike gunner 06/20/2010, ID=3043 |

Hey Mike, I've got a tigercat bow and it is a neat bow with some highly figured wood. |

| I am a 24 year young Louisianian. I have been hunting with my compound for about 12 years. I have taken a 162" 15 point, and a 142" 14 point, plus several does and smaller bucks. I want to start hunting with a recurve. I am going to buy the Martin Jaguar takedown bow to start off with, I dont care for the look of wood arrows or alluminum arrows. Can i shoot Goldtip Hunter arrows (Carbon) with this recurve. I will of course be shooting feathers ( if plastic was better bird wouldnt have feathers. hope to hear from you. Ryan it sounds like you are walking the walk and moving on to greater challenges that will no doubt make you a better archer and hunter. Good luck to you and keep in touch. |

| I hunt elk, whitetail deer and turkey with a 55# pse coyote and I am having a hard time finding the "right" arrow. I have a sudo-traditional set-up, no sights, no release, but i shoot off a Alan flip rest. I have tried aluminum, wood and carbon with a slight preference towards carbon. With hunting being the primary use, what would you sugest? - Sean Byrd 06/09/2010, ID=3040 |

I like a heavy arrow and I've shot wood, aluminum and carbon. You should be able to find some good flight in a 35/55 gold tip I'd recommend leaving it full length and cutting it down till your flight looked optimal. Of course that will also depend on your broadhead weight. |

| I recently purchased a Predator Recurve (http://www.huntersniche.com/) set at 53# for 28". My draw is 28" on a compound bow. And I like the Beman MFX Clasic arrows. But I do not know if I should go with the 500, 400 or 340. And with what weight insert/tip/broadhed combination. Help!! - Rene Javier Perez-Ruiz 05/26/2010, ID=3039 |

I've got a similar setup and the 500 works fine for me, I'm shooting Gold Tips. If it isn't too much trouble and expense start shooting the 500 cut it to 29.5 inches and mount a standard insert and broadhead into 3 arrows and see how they fly. If everything is fine and dandy make up the rest of the arrows. If the arrow is acting too stiff, use a heavier broadhead and see if it works. |
