DAY 6 |
|
Thursday - MorningIt was a nice morning. Several deer moved by me early but they were concerned with something out in the CRP field to the East. They never spooked but they took off stiff legged. Several minutes later a big coyote passed by me behind my treestand. I got some terrific video of him. By 8:30AM, these two small bucks appeared and were sparring off and on. This has been the first rutting activity I've seen all week. It was a beautiful morning but it heated up fast and deer movement was over by 9:00 AM. Thursday - AfternoonI hunted a stand called the Pipeline for the evening hunt. I had high expectations for this afternoon since a front was moving in. But no deer were seen from this stand tonight. We have one more day to hunt so tomorrow is hopefully the day. The temps are supposed to be dropping tomorrow with high winds. Hopefully this will get the bucks up and moving.
