After a long night on the ferry, we arrived at the terminal at 5:00 AM and went for breakfast. By 7:30 we were at Johnnies cabin in Hollis, AK for a much needed rest. Our plans were changing fast - with the weather. The fog and intermittent showers would postone our hunt till tomorrow.
We spent the rest of the day driving around the island and searching for black bears on salmon-choked streams (we saw one Jumbo). We needed the rest anyway and by the looks of the jungle here on POW, I would just assume get a good night's sleep before our next deathmarch.
After a great dinner of fresh salmon, we drove around checking out the hills where we would be hunting. The fog was lifting and I really wished we were up in the hills - tomorrow we were going, rain or shine.
