Bucks still have good genetics in private areas, but deer numbers are down and too many young bucks are being shot by out of staters.

Deer numbers are down across the state. And yet the Game and Fish continues to offer more and more doe/fawn tags. One of the best trophy buck areas suffered a 100% fawn winter kill last.
