The bag limit for does is to high. I believe that there is a poaching problem in Maryland. Maryland needs more DNR officers and stiffer fines.
Jack Pruitt (resident)
Seeing far less deer than I used to. I have written records of every hunt and sightings over the 20 years. I think they are killing way too many does.
Robert Strausser (resident)
Maryland is hands down the worst state at managing with high bag limits.. love my farm have a lot of success with seeing a lot of deer and a lot of good ones.. but for the overall state it’s rough
bear bowman (nonresident)
I understand the need to kill doe but I think the unlimited doe in northern Baltimore county is a bit much. I understand it in the suburbs but not so much in the rural areas.
Mike m (resident)
Hunted all public land. No real hammers this year but took nice 8 w/bow and another 8 in mountains with rifle
Rodney Lipscomb (resident)
Lots of nice bucks on trail cams this year mostly nocturnal. Wish our Dnr would care as much about the deer as they do our bears
Hearst Daman (resident)
Electronic check in is convenient, but i’m Sure it’s abused to allow for shooting a second buck.
Mike Harrington (resident)
Here in Southern MD near "farmers/land owners" abuse the crop kill program which limits the amount and quality of deer.
Ryan slemp (resident)
See a lot of muture deer
WV BOWMAN (nonresident)
Hunting eastern MD has been impressive over the last few years. EHD hit our farm hard this year but still an excellent opportunity to harvest trophy whitetail.
the ground i hunt in MD is DRASTICALLY worse in comparison to others.. Now need to find better ground to hunt and i think they above grades would be much better
