My first time on an outfitted whitetail hunt. The food and accommodations were okay. What bothered me about the hunt was that the outfitter was dropping his clients off and then going out on his own whitetail hunt (conflict of interest). He had 40 trail cameras out. The spot he set me at had a decent 140" buck coming out at it, which I took. Then I overhear him bragging on the phone to a buddy about him and his wife taking turns hunting a spot with a "legitimate 180 inch" coming out at it. Not cool.

This is completely false. Here is exactly how the hunt went. This individual booked this discounted hunt because of the border closure. He was shown pictures of numerous bucks in the area I was going to start him on his 8 day Rifle hunt including the deer he harvested. He shot his deer the first hour of the first morning of his hunt. There was one other client in camp and she harvested her deer the same day in the evening. As we were now tagged out this gave my wife and myself an opportunity to hunt that we seldom get. We took turns sitting for the next week as one of us has to watch the kids while the other sits. The client decided to remain in camp for the duration of his hunt in which he sat different locations to view wildlife and my father took him on drives to show him the area. I was fortunate to harvest a nice old mature deer during the week , my wife was not successful. She later harvested a younger deer the last few days of the season after our last clients tagged out. The client made his own call on the deer he harvested and was very pleased with it as he said it was the biggest whitetail he ever killed. He never once mentioned to me he was unsatisfied with anything on his hunt. He is lying about having40 trail cameras out-as I don’t even own that many. I never had pictures of any 180 inch deer this past year either. I have been doing this a long time and am booked out 3 years ahead annually. Every now and then you get some one who will never be happy and look to blame other people for their shortcomings or mistakes. My advise to the client is he better watch about spreading false information online and defaming people online as it is a serious offence and will result in a lawsuit. I will leave it up to him if wishes to remove these false accusations. He can choose where he would like it to go from here.
