Guide spotted an elk, informed me that it was a 270-280 inch elk. Range was 600 yds. Shot elk, when we got to it, it measured about 225 inches. Bad info by guide on size of elk. When field dressing the elk, guide said he would do the gutless method and assured me my tenderloins would be taken out. They were never found when we got back to camp. Outfitter was supposed to take brain for cwd test. I checked with New Mexico game and fish and they told me it was never submitted. Outfitter is not trustworthy and would not recommend. This was my fourth elk hunt and the second with Pete. Never had a problem in the past, even when I was unsuccessful.

Rick hunted with us the year prior and shot and missed multiple animals 120-200 yards in distance in 330-340 class range that are big bulls for the particular unit. when we spotted the bull we told Rick the bull wouldn’t score high if he’s chasing a number but he was a legal bull. After another client had passed on him Rick insisted he would take the bull if the other hunter didn’t want him. We told Rick If he wanted him that was a decision he would have to make. Rick said after what happened the year prior (HIM MISSING) he was going to take the opportunity and he connected on the bull he wanted to harvest. I’m disappointed to hear this from Rick as we helped him in every way possible to be successful. He never mentioned anything about being disappointed with the elk he harvested in fact he had us cape him so he could mount the bull. We even went as far as letting his wife join the camp free of charge so he would be more comfortable in camp. I also saved him a tag the second year he harvested after he missed two payment deadlines. He also forgot to mention he tried to booking a hunt with me again last year but we had to part ways as he’s a client you just can’t please. It’s not fare that bowsite allows people to slander companies without verification knowing people can say whatever they want from a computer screen. I’ve been in business for 13 years with tract record to prove my honesty and success with clients. Very disappointed with bowsite and mr Rick.
