This is an overdue shout-out to the guys at Mesquite Mountain Outfitters (Dylan, Nick, and Tate)... In addition to helping me have a successful hunt, these guys impressed me with the incredible amount of time they invest in preparing for their hunts. I've kept in touch with them since our first outing and it seems like they're always in the field checking cameras and scouting (even in the AZ summer heat!), and sharing pics of the giants they love to chase. Having worked with several outfits, I've learned it takes a special type of person to target this subspecies of white-tail (Coues)...and these guys are the real deal. Their unassuming demeanor made camp comfortable and easy to enjoy. They didn't push me in any direction to meet their goals. Instead, they worked with me to ensure my ambitions and personal style were accommodated, by providing options for locations to hunt and individual animals to target. They are quickly making a name for themselves in an ever growing (and changing) industry, and I'd go as far as to say they are the best bet for hunting Coues deer in AZ and Mexico.
