It's easy to give your outfitter a good rating if you kill a big buck like a lot of my buddies did. However, I went home empty handed and still enjoyed my time with Tevis and crew at Whitetail Heaven in Burkesville, Kentucky. My crew from Florida hunted 4 days starting on Saturday, November 9th 2019 which was the start of Kentucky's rifle season. We had a blast and I saw probably 20-30 bucks in 4 days and I was on the low end of the scale. Some hunters reported seeing up to 60 deer in a day. Not everyone will kill a big buck. Fact! My buddies have been going for 9 years and most have killed 5-6 times with the biggest being a 194" monster. Tevis leases farms and the deer are there. Don't doubt that. You will see a lot of deer and you will see things you probably don't normally see unless maybe you live in the Midwest.
The food is outstanding and Tevis' wife is a first rate cook. The guides go out of their way to try to put you on a big buck. However, this is hunting and you aren't guaranteed anything except maybe a good time. The property is beautiful, the deer are plentiful, the people are friendly and helpful and you will probably gain a few pounds!
My one suggestion would be to carry a climber with you as you may find a stand that is not as comfortable as you like. The guides are more than happy to have you set up in your stand if that allows you to sit all day which we did. They will ask you to sit all day if you can because it's the Rut. It can happen at any time.
Give Tevis and Whitetail Heaven a chance to earn your business. Go in with reasonable expectations, not unrealistic ones. I paid a deposit already for next year.

Opening morning was cold and deer sightings were high. The next two days it warmed up and the wind blew which seemed to slow deer sightings. The fourth day it turned bitterly cold with snow and ice but deer movement was crazy .....A lot of bucks hit the ground...
