This was my third hunt with Portland Creek Outfitters (Leonard and Shelly Payne). Each hunt has been with four hunters and we have taken twelve bulls on the three trips. I went in 2013/2015/2017, and I'm returning this October. We have hunted at two different camps and the guides were excellent and the food was great. The outfitter came recommended by friends and I would recommend them to anybody. We fly to Newfoundland and have our meat trucked back to the states. Compared to other regions of Canada, I feel the cost and success rate with Portland Creek excellent.

You can expect some rain and wind in Newfoundland. the weather of the day does influence moose activity and we have done our best when clear, cold and relatively calm winds. We have had snow and also had mid-70s.No weather comments submitted
