This was my 2nd season with Hero Shot Outfitters. After last years hunt, I had very high expectations. As expected, Jason and the rest of the Hero Shot team exceeded those expectations. The deer movement started out slow and the weather was not favorable. Jason still managed to put my whole hunting group (3 hunters) on bucks. The last 3 days of my hunt, I saw numerous shooter bucks throughout each day. Jason knows these deer and it was evident as he had a good feeling about a certain tree stand. For 3 straight days, Jason said that it was a stand that the bucks would be coming by. On the last day of my hunt, Jason was right and I was able to harvest a mature 10 point (which was the biggest whitetail that I have ever harvested). I feel like it is worth mentioning that this buck made it through a creek which was 3-4 feet deep and up an 8 foot embankment before expiring. Jason saw how excited I was and did not hesitate to go through the water and climb the embankment to get to that buck with me. That speaks volumes to me. The food and accommodations in camp were also great! It really shows that Jason, Amber and the rest of the Hero Shot team are all about a quality deer hunting experience and are a quality outfitter. I am planning on going for a 3rd year next year and this will be the only outfitter that I would recommend to anyone who is looking to hunt mature whitetails. Matt, words cannot express on how happy I was for you to harvest an awesome buck. Your positive attitude and trusting the process paid off!! Can't wait to do it again in 2019! Happy Holidays to you and your family!
