I was at West camp for just a 2 day hunt. My first day I was hunting a cut corn field real close to camp and didn’t see a deer the whole day (I sat from 6am-6pm) upon returning to camp the GM Brian (who was my guide for that day) asked me if I’d seen anything and when I told him no he didn’t hesitate to offer another spot for me the next day and when he asked how many more days I had to hunt and I let him know that I was only here for 2 days he was adamant that I move to a different farm that was having more success and so I agreed. Brian came back to my room about an hour later and introduced me to my new guide Kyle Underwood and Kyle took over from there and gave me a rundown of some of the shooters they had on camera and he told me to get some rest because by that time it was about 8pm and we needed to leave out at about 3:30 because the farm we were going to was an hour and a half away (not a big deal to me, I was there to kill a buck). The next morning we get out to the new farm and they drove me about 400 yards away from my stand on a razor dropped me off on a trail and gave me good directions to get to the stand. Within 15 minutes of me settling in I saw a 100”-110” buck (by far the biggest I’d ever passed) and 4 bucks later I saw the buck I wanted to shoot and got the job done. Kyle came back and loaded it up in the razor and then in the back of my truck. What an unforgettable weekend! Food was pretty darn good especially dinner, the lodging was ok it could have been better but again I was there to kill a buck not sleep in luxury so it was easy for me to overlook.
