Hunter Comments
I recommend this outfitter

This is the only guided hunt I have ever done, and I feel very fortunate to have selected Premier Outfitters. The entire experience was outstanding. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable; Mark Clifford, who owns and operates Premier, could not have been more welcoming and helpful; the lodge was clean and welcoming, the food was really good; the country was scenic; the stands were in great locations; the deer were plentiful; the other people in camp were friendly; and the area was clearly home to large, mature whitetails.

I was not there for 24 hours before I decided that I wanted to return next year. Mark and his guides talked to us extensively about how to judge mature bucks, which I found especially helpful, because I found myself in a situation where I had three bucks in front of me that were as big or bigger than any bucks I have seen in the woods in the 28 years that I have been hunting. I paid attention to Mark and selected the right buck.

As I look back on my trip, I cannot imagine that my experience could have been any better.

Weather Comments:
The weather was cool on the first day, and the wind swirled during the mid-afternoon. Later in the afternoon, the wind settled down and a bright moon was overhead. It was a beautiful evening. The next morning was about 34 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature rose into the 50s, and the day was clear. It is difficult to imagine better weather.
