This was my first trip to South Africa, and it's hard to sum up in a short paragraph how truly incredible it was . Harry and his people run an excellent operation.

The hunt area is massive, tens of thousands of acres. And the animals are as wild as any I have encountered. This point was driven home when ,as I tried to raise to my knees for a shot after a stalk, a wildebeest pinned me at 50 yards and bolted.

The weather was simply horrible for animal movement for 8.5 out of the 10 days I was hunting. It was colder than usual, overcast and very windy. Even with very reduced movement, I still managed to get shots at the animals I wanted. In a couple cases it was just one shot, but that is all you need. They are adamant that you only take mature animals. This, along with the facts that they are archery only and do not overhunt their area, make for an outstanding hunting area.

The guides(Johan and Garry) were both excellent. I took along my girlfriend on this trip and she did some hunting as well. We hunted separately a couple days and Garry was her PH those days. Johan was my guide the whole time. Both guides were very patient with her(she is pretty new with bowhunting). I would also like to add that these guys can TRACK, if the need arises.

The food and accommodations were superb. And the little personal touches make it obvious that they really care about your experience there and want it to be a great one.

Africa Arrow also assisted us with planning and transportation for some after hunt activities. This was very helpful. A huge thanks to Harry and Charleen, Coen and Henriette, Johan, Garry, Naas and the rest of the folks that helped make this trip so great. We will be back.
