I just returned from a wilderness hunt at Boulder Creek Outfitters for Spring Black Bear. This was my first time to the breathtaking state of Idaho and what a pleasure it was. The weather was rainy most of the week so we made the best of it and there was still decent bear movement. The guides worked hard and the horses were very rider friendly. On this hunt you are allowed to harvest 2 black bears. The 3rd day of the hunt it was raining and about 530 pm I was able to arrow a beautiful black colored bear. Then, On the last day of the hunt I was sitting in the same stand and was able to shoot a gorgeous blonde color bear with the same arrow I shot the previous bear with. Chris (my guide) is a tracking machine and worked his butt off to help me recover the animal and make quick work of the game care after our picture session.
