I have been on more hunts than most people. I don't always punch a tag, I know it is called hunting, but Conyers outdoors is not the place you want to go. $3500 is highway Robery! And now I see that he has raised the price to $3900. That pretty much put me over the top!!! 6 guys in camp and no one saw a shooter buck. No one really saw deer. Yes, bad moon phase. However that was not the problem... Way more hunting pressure than advertise. Joe just rotated us hunters through out the same 6 ground blinds. He preaches setting in the blind all day betters your chances. All it does is insure he doesn't have to babysit and work for the hunters. Like feed us breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He told me when I booked the hunt, meals and lodging included. As Maury povich would say... "that was a lie" He also said that he only has "about" 8 hunters in camp all year. That also was a lie! He also preaches and pushes Jesus... Meanwhile dropping Fbombs. I am a Christian man, not perfect but I am a follower of Christ.... I now believe that it is just a front for joe Conyers. Joe and his guide Drew both smoke cigarettes and pot in the Tahoe's they transport you to and from the stands. Meanwhile, preaching to be scent free... His guide Drew has had some trouble in the past but he was a good guy and was only doing what joe told him to do. The guide, and uhhh, also cook.... Only cooked what joe provided to cook which for the most part was crap. I will end w this... Setting/rotating the same 6 guys through the same 6 ground blinds in the middle of fields in hopes to shoot or even see a trophy buck is insane. Ya.. maybe, MAYBE if the bucks are in rut. Bucks we're not in rut. Absolutely no chasing was going on. At that point in time any good outfitter would have made adjustments and put his $3500 paying clients in the woods or in a tree stand in the woods.... You have to know this stuff if your going to charge that kind of money. It's not really about the money tho... It's the fact I talked my dad into coming w me on this hunt, he and I both were extremely busy w work and life and family. I feel like we got screwed in the worst way... By a fellow Hunter and "Christian man". No one has killed a deer in his last 3 groups (20 hunters)... Over pressured and false advertising. Do not, I repeat do not book a hunt w him.
