I recommend this outfitter

Two Bears Outfitters is a back country Montana outfitter providing a best in class wall tent camp experience in tough terrain and challenging environment which is exactly what I was looking for in an archery hunt.

The camp is top notch from accommodations to meals the outfitter was providing the best back country experience for guest to focus solely on hunting. Meals included Steak, Turkey, Pork Chops, and many more great meals before and after a long day of hunting. The tents provided included stoves, cushioned cots, and drying racks for clothes.

The hunting was determined by the amount of distance and effort covered by the hunter. My personal experience was that I was in elk on the days that the weather did not impede our hunt. I had multiple shot opportunities that did not materialize in a harvested elk and saw 6 shooter bulls during my week. Franco Simone was my guide and his passion and knowledge of Elk led us to being on the elk each day and having a really enjoyable hunt when the weather moved in.

The terrain is relatively rough (for a flat-lander) and I would recommend being in good shape as it will increase your odds but they can and do accommodate hunters who are not in shape. The weather was not the kindest and it snowed the last 3 days of hunting which reduced the chances of a harvest.

Summary, Two Bears Outfitters is focused on providing the best back country hunting experience for each individual hunter based on the type of hunting each hunter wants to do. The Outfitter, guides, chef, and packers are all focused on making sure you are happy with your hunt. I plan on hunting with Two Bears Outfitters in the future.
