Very low moose population at this camp. One young bull seen between the two of us in 6 days. Area we hunted is ALL public land with 4-wheeler trails ALL over the place. Between the Indians who shoot the moose from the road out of their pick-ups and the wolves, the moose are few and far between. Guide told me that in two years, not one moose had been shot by a bow hunter. Gun hunters are more successful. Their preferred method of hunting in the afternoons is to roar thru the bush on 4 wheelers and stopping to call occasionally. Scent control is a joke at this camp with guides smoking, 4 wheeler exhaust, diesel fumes etc.
