Hunt was great. Ron is a first class person and outfitter. The food was fantastic, the lodging great, and the atmosphere at camp awesome. It rained solid for the first 4 days in camp, really making hunting tough and slowing down the bear activity during shooting hours. I saw my first bear, an easy 6 footer, on the 4th day of hunting but couldnt get a shot off. I ended up tagging the next day, Friday. Ron and his guide, Darren, really stepped it up to make sure we all got an opportunity at a good bear. They went out of their way to make the hunt special and sucessful. Did I mention the food was great! If I go black bear hunting again, it will be with Bear Track Outfitters.
While glancing through your site I came across Andy's review. What a nice surprise to find we had someone of his stature to take the time to write in with his comments. We did have unusually wet weather and to rub it in on Andy, the night he shot his bear, was the first day we had sun for 2 weeks and never seen rain the rest of the season. Andy and his father were excellent guests and very typical of the fantastic people we get to meet in our line of work. We are blessed. We'd love to have them or their freinds back one day in the future. Jeannine does pride herself in being a great cook and we have guests that have been coming to hunt with us for the past 7 years that say the average weight gained in the week is 6 pounds.
