please forgive my lengthy review but a few sentences will not cover all I have to say about this outfitter.for starters I've never felt so welcome at any place I've been to. Jeff is dedicated to his business and satisfaction of his clients.his guides are phenominal and work their tails off at all hours of the day. The whole operation makes the entire experience second to none!! The quality of deer is unbelievable!!!! They had a very delayed full on rut this year , yet everyone at the very least saw shooter bucks.my first day I saw 14 bucks. 3 of them were monsters!!! They ask you daily about what you're seeing and find ways to improve your chances. So much so that one of the guys in my group had a shooter come in behind the stand 2 days in a row, instead of doing what most outfitters would do and rely on fate, they went and cut shooting lanes and moved the corn pile to maximize his chances.the lodging is clean, cozy, and FULLY stocked. You get treated like a life long friend there. Jeffs wife is one hell of a cook and one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. Finally and most importantly , stands.... They are all very well maintained, safe, quiet, and most of all hidden. The location and camouflage of theses stands is bordering genius!!!!. I can't say enough about hickory creek and highly recommend that anyone looking for a world-class Whitetail deer hunt give Jeff a call!!!!!!!
